A look into the foster care and juvenile justice systems through the eyes of youth.

Presented by CASA of San Mateo County and the Foster Youth Museum, the Lost Childhoods Exhibit is a youth-driven art and storytelling exhibit that highlights the experiences of young people in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. The exhibit will display art created by youth and artifacts from their time in care.

Visit the exhibit at the Redwood City Public Library (1044 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA 94063) starting on April 5, 2025.

Upcoming events.

As part of the Lost Childhoods exhibit, we are hosting a variety of events throughout April and May 2025 to deepen understanding and spark dialogue around the foster care and juvenile justice systems. From open mics to educational sessions, these events will offer opportunities to engage with the art, meet community leaders, and learn from youth who have experienced the foster care and juvenile justice systems.
