CASA will hold an orientation presentation outside of our office if your workplace, professional group, congregation, or community organization is interested. Please contact marlene@casaofsanmateo.org to inquire.

Pre-Service Training Schedule

Training is typically held in person and virtually through Zoom (weekdays once to twice a week from 6-9 p.m.) and through CASA University over a period of four weeks. The 2026 Summer Training cohort will be hybrid ( in person and virtually through our online learning platform) on Saturdays from 9am-3pm over a three-week period. Our next training schedule is as follows:

* All training dates are subject to change pending final confirmation. Please check with our training team at training@casaofsanmateo.org if you have any questions about exact dates.

* Volunteers who successfully complete the in-person court observation, 4 online courses and attend all 6 classes are sworn in by a judicial officer at a graduation ceremony.

Zoom sessions are held from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.
